Established in 1994, the Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation (CITA) is dedicated to advancing the quality of education and sustainable development through accreditation. CITA accredits more than 30,000 public and private educational institutions in 100 countries, touching over 10 million students.

With the new wave & trend of education internationalization, MIS joined hands with CITA with the educational concept of ‘all-embracing, and Mutual Advantage Complement’ and ‘Directing to Self-development’. On Apr. 6, 2006, Dr. Don Petry’s Group and the CITA expert panel came to MIS for an inspection. After a two-day inspection, the expert panel thought highly of our school and meantime gave us a lot of suggestions. Eventually, MIS was approved as a CITA candidate school.
In the next year or so, MIS would like to come up with improvement measures to make up its disadvantages by self-examination according to the 12 accreditation standards, and aim to meet the 12 accreditation standards in a relatively short time.

On Nov. 18, 2007, the CITA joint expert panel came to MIS for the accreditation. The expert panel included both Chinese and American education experts; they were Dr. Donald Enz, Dr. Billie Enz, Dr. Dongjiao Zhang, Dr. Jiayong Li, Professor Wei Zhou and Professor Meiling Gu. After a four-day comprehensive and meticulous inspection, the experts approved of our school’s planning and implementation of the educational concepts and goal of “cultivating international talents”. The experts all agreed that MIS had a clear direction and accurate positioning in its educational policies; meanwhile the experts affirmed the MIS scientific management and its further bright development. Finally, MIS gained the accreditation and became the first CITA accredited school in Chengdu.
